Vegetarian Haggis for Burns' Night

a knitting project not a recipe

modification of a ball
uses short rows
end pieces added afterwards

2 balls brown (green,red...)wool in different shades

egg-citing fried ostrich egg

uses oddments of double knitting wool and size 4mm needles

it turned out bigger than i expected
using smaller needles and thinner wool will give a smaller egg
the whole thing is about 11" across
the yolk 3"

practice short rows on a small scale for the yolk 
then work round, increasing 6 times in each circle (row), for the white
