Jamie's knee warmer in lopi wool : knitted flat

knee warmer in lopi wool : flat 

to fit knee size approx  15" /11"
(measured around leg, above and below knee)


VERY warm but itchy without the long johns

it's knitted in single rib (to give it some stretch)
and has shirring elastic threaded through afterwards
(to keep it stretchy)



materials

1x100g ball lopi wool (100g=100m)
1 pair needles 5.5mm (uk 5 us 9)
tapestry needle to sew up
spool of shirring elastic/thread 

 tension  : stretch to fit 
originally 60sts = 12.25" 
               44sts  = 9.75"
               80 rows = 15"
on knee  60sts = 15.5" 
               44sts  = 12"
               80 rows = 15"
to fit knee size (above/below) approx 15"/11" round
